Game Rearing
We hatch and rear all our own game. The pheasants are from our own flock of the excellent “Bazanty” strain. The partridge are from a combination of early imported eggs and our own flocks eggs thus ensuring that we have fully matured birds at the very start of the season.
Both the pheasants and partridge are reared in traditional grass pens to give them the very best possible start in life. They are not transferred to the release pens until eight weeks old, fully feathered and able to withstand any inclement weather.
We rear mainly for ourselves and only supply a limited number to other local shoots.
Hygiene and the bird’s welfare are our top priorities.
